Each country has different regulations, it is no longer possible for everyone to be able to work anywhere without restrictions.

EU PASSPORT HOLDERS
A wide majority of the employers will insist you have an EU passport to work within Europe. This does however vary between different countries and resorts within these countries, many employers have a business set up so they can legally employ anyone who holds a UK working visa and NI number.

(Please note that Ancestry Visa’s, Right of Abode and UK working Visa’s do not count as an EU passport).

Niche Recruitment Ltd, are unfortunately not able to advise what is and what isn’t legal. If you are unsure, please contact your employer to explain what the situation is and what documents you will need. There are of course many people who are non-visa holders that find work each year, we do however not advise working illegally.

EUROPEAN RELATIVES
If you are looking for work within Europe but are not from an EU country, there are many people who do have relatives somewhere, so it is always worth checking and researching your family tree.

NON-EU COUNTRIES
When working in Non-EU countries, be careful that the visa you have obtained (by the employer or yourself) is covered for the duration of your trip, many visa’s are for only 3 months, sometimes this can be organised by the employer but is always worth checking for peace of mind.

USA/CANADA
You need to hold a working visa and/or UA/Canadian passport in order to work legally in these areas. Most tour operators will have to buy these so they do tend to recruit returning staff so it is always good to try to work up the corporate ladder.

It is wise to try to get a visa before you apply for the job, as it is often hard to be offered the job without one.

Of course you can go out to the resort independently and find yourself a job. Many people do this and are fine, but of course it is a huge risk to do so and you are putting yourself in the position of working illegally. Consider that far more applicants succeed and provide themselves with excellent career opportunities by searching for jobs before hand and obtain the required documents.
